laura rodeo
& campdraft

27th - 29th June 2025

There’s nothing quite
like a Laura weekend. . .

Since 1977, people have been rolling into town from all corners of the Cape for a few days of dust, action, good music and even better company. It’s a proper bush get-together where locals, station crews, and visitors all come to catch up, kick back, and watch some top-class riding.

This year’s shaping up to be another cracker of a weekend:

What’s On:

  • Full ABCRA program: Campdrafts, Bull Rides, Saddle Bronc, Mini Bulls, Barrel Racing

  • Live music Saturday & Sunday night from The Barnyard Band

  • Bar open till midnight both nights

  • Charity Auction & Raffle supporting HeartKids

  • Food vans, market stalls & hot coffee

Everyone’s welcome!

Bring your mates, your swag,
and your best dance moves.

HeartKids Fundraiser

We’re proud to be raising funds for HeartKids, supporting kids and families affected by congenital heart disease. This cause is close to our hearts, and we’d love your support.

There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs — generously donated by local businesses who’ve jumped on board to support the cause.

A huge thank you to the legends who’ve already donated! Your generosity means the world to us, and it's a true reflection of the strength and spirit of our outback community.

Let’s rally together, raise some funds, and make a real difference.

A big thanks to our
volunteers & Sponsors

This event only happens thanks to the locals who chip in!
Whether you’re working the yards, serving up a cold one, or making sure the grounds are in perfect condition, we appreciate every single one of you.

We couldn’t do it without our sponsors either. Here’s to the legends who back us each year. Your support means we can keep the dust flying, the lights on, and the good times rolling.

A Bit of History about us

The Laura Rodeo & Campdraft has been going strong since ’77, when a bunch of locals got together and decided the town needed a rodeo. They pulled off something pretty special with not much more than donated gear, local know-how, and a heap of hard yakka.

That first year was a hit—it gave the younger crowd a go, brought the community together, and became an annual excuse to catch up and cut loose. Over the years it’s become a much-loved tradition, run by volunteers and kept alive by the people who call this place home.
